Laura and her husband, Jack reside on a farm in Central Mississippi. They have three sons, one daughter, and three grandchildren. She has written articles for: Just Between Us Magazine, The Tea Room Guide & Digest, Proverbs 31 Newsletter and publishes her own quarterly newsletter, Teacups & Friends. She has co-authored the book, The Present - His Presence, Twenty-Five Days and Ways to Focus Your Heart on the True Meaning of Christmas, and has contributed to the book, Kisses of Sunshine for Grandmas. She has been featured in Just Between Us Magazine, Tea Time Magazine as well as the Clarion Ledger and other newspapers in Mississippi.

She is involved with women's ministries in her local church as well as on a state level. She serves on the Visionary Team for the Mississippi Baptist Woman's Missionary Union and has received her Women's Ministry Certificate Advanced Degree from New Orleans Theological Seminary. She is a Bible study leader, involved in mentoring, and is a speaker for churches, schools, businesses, community organizations, home school events, and retreats. Laura is a graduate of Speak Up with Confidence Seminars (Basic and Advanced) and CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors, and Speaker Services)
